Doll Flip Flops

These were made for a Journey Girl doll, but as you will see, you make them to fit whatever doll you have.

 Add 1/4 inch all around.

Leftover batting.

Approximately 1 x 5+

I decided to make it 4 inches to give something to hold on.

Be careful not to pull back out.
This is why the extra length was added.

 Do you see the mistake?
Has to do with top stitching.
Thinking the strap would be a place to use a decorative stitch?
Or make the strap wider if you like?

Quilt Shot Block #109 ~ Dad's Barn

Dad's Barn
8x9 inches
A "design as you go block" improv by Your's Truly, Joy
for another memory quilt of Mother & Dad's clothing
"Showing Memories of Our Home Life"

First a single 3D Flying Geese was made.

Then like the Wonky Log Cabin process
pieces were added.
I love just adding on without having to measure.
Makes me feel creative.
Like an artist throwing the paint brush around!

The brown strip was a leftover from a previous memory quilt.
I thought the results of Dad's hard work sweat stained area of the fabric
fit right in to show the usual dirt/gravel area
that always led up to the barns.
More strips will be added later to make a 12x12 inch square.
