Are you someone that personally turns to prayer when you need something?
That is an expression of faith.
Do you only pray when in need?
Do you remember to give a thank-you praise for prayers answered?
Or even thanks for something you didn't actually ask for?
Do your "asking" prayers outnumber your" thanks" prayers?
Should the "thanks" prayers outnumber the "asking" prayers?
Does it matter?
Does this apply to all religions?

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18King James Version (KJV)
Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
I'm a "thank you" pray-er, too. So many reasons to thank God!

Thanking God is universal to all religions. I start all my prayers with thanks.
