Fun Fri ~ Katy's House Birthday Card

 

Of course I waited till the last minute.

 Actually past the last minute.

 because I doubt now it will arrive 

before or on her birthday.

Note: the fabrics were stitched onto a piece of scrap embroidery stabilizer cut the size of the card.

Also, the mail carrier usually arrives around 3,

 but on rare days maybe early. 

I figure that will be this day?

Naturally it takes me longer 

to choose the just right fabric. 

 The color for the house stumped me.

Its times like this I'm glad I've

organized my scraps by color.

Because I was in a hurry, 

can you see what went wrong?

I'm glad the builder did a better job than me of

 

putting the porch on straight and level.

Then as I stitched it to the card in a hurry, 

a pucker appeared!

I've declared it just has

 "Nana Character."

 

Thanks to my daughter for sending me the picture to go by.

 

I did get it in the mail on time,

including the mistakes,

but I had fun doing it anyway.
