Paper Pieced Pumpkin Mug Rug or Pot Pad

I was in search of a wall hanging for a decoration for my front door.  I did find a wall hanging at Quilter's Cache, which by the way is a gold mine for free quilt block patterns of all kinds. You'll find the  2 sheets of paper pieced templates in upper right corner of first page.
When I printed the paper piece pattern at 100%, it still did not match the 1 inch grid mark on the pattern.   However, I turned on the U of KY football game and started piecing.

It turned out to be a great size for a mug rug or a hot pot pad.

Edged stitched all around to close the opening.
I must admit the small paper piecing was tedious for me.
I have more appreciation for those little paper pieced quilts I see at quilt shows.
