When I first started church when I moved to this town,
I quickly found out the members had a mailbox at church,
and it was tradition for many to trade Christmas cards.
After the first 3 years and getting to know people well,
you know me, I made them.

The number increased so I changed to post cards and no envelope.

This one was a simple raw applique of letters on
scraps of white fabric that I found in an Ohio yard sale.
The stack of white fabrics were all same cuts.
Looked to be factory scraps from cutting a pattern.
They were the right size for post card back ground.
A few were short, so a red triangle corner was added.
See if you can spot them.
they were stitched to a white fabric.
with red thread.
Four post cards were cut from one sheet.
The edge stitch food was used to guide
around the card a bit more accurately and quickly.
I was unable to mail any cards this year due to health reasons.
No energy gets nothing done.
I did miraculously work in the sewing room 7 hours that day
completing 45 cards,
3 tea wallets
and
3 gift bags.
