In Stitches Quilt Shop @ Rushville

While on a recent trip to see some Indiana Covered Bridges, we just happened upon a quilt shop called In Stitches Quilt Shop and had to stop (and spend some money.)  They had some very nice pieces on display.  So I asked if I could take pictures and share them here.

Above is what I'm guessing is a mug rug and perhaps paper pieced because the pieces are so tiny.  Check out the embroidery detail that's embellished with very tiny buttons!  Makes my hand hurt to think about it.

I really like pieced clothing if it's done in taste like these. The orange colored jacket below used a sweat shirt as a base.  Not sure about the blue one.

I bought the special cutting template to make the squares for the wreath & JOY banner.
Of course I had to buy the pattern for the JOY banner.
Great use of novelty fabric for the Spool Quilt block (I think.)
And while I shop, Mr. G. amused himself by reading all the little sayings.  For some reason, he like this one so much he had to take a picture of it.
You'll find this post at several Linky Parties. Please check them out for some great ideas.

  1. Quilt shops are lovely! It's amazing how much stuff they have in these little places...well some aren't so little! haha... and they can be quite expensive too! I don't sew or quilt but I do enjoy popping into shops like these if they are in the area of where I'm shopping. You're an inspiration to me! :) and I've nominated you a couple of blow awards! http://www.homesteadsimple.com/blog-awards/
