400 Mile Yard Sale in KY on HWY 68

Held annually the first weekend of June.  We started in Paris, Ky on Thursday morning and went all the way to the end of 68 close to Paducah, KY on Sunday Evening.  We had done Paris, KY to Maysville, Ky last year, so technically we've gone the entire 400 miles.  It took a lot of energy and for some reason Mr. G and I both enjoyed it.  Now, we'll rest up to do the HWY 127 the first weekend of August.  We've done all of KY on that one, so hopefully we'll start on the TN line and head south.

Here are a few shots.  Some yard sale and some just interesting.

A yard sale is when you are invited to go up the drive and into the yard of a stranger.   We call it trick-or-treating for grown-ups.  This drive went up to a very old home that no doubt had some Civil War history.  She sold some old clothing that apparently had been left in the home from the 1800s.

Had a picnic lunch @ Fort Harrod.
Downtown Perryville, KY.
