What can you turn one white sheer curtain into? Actually you only need about half the curtain to make a wedding dress for an 18" doll. I used part of the free dress pattern found at The Stitching Post. Look for Josefina's Christmas dress. I didn't use the sleeves but rather lined the bodice & skirt of the dress with a white cotton in order to face the sleeve and neck area and so the dress wouldn't be too shear. Can you see the "fancy" machine stitching down the center and along the princess line. |
Then of course we had to have bridesmaid dresses so, I made them out of sleeves of a lady's blouse. Please refer to The Tale of Two Sleeves post for that how-to.
