Tues Tutorial~ Plaid Scrap Gift Tags with a New Way to Add Ties

I've made lots of scrappy gift tags especially for Christmas. It used to be easy to find boxes with white interior, but when shrinkflation started, they became harder to find.  The interior of boxes were just left the simple cardboard. I did have enough boxes saved throughout the year to make the few tags I needed. (Check Pill/Medicine boxes) However, I was in a big hurry, and instead of taking the time to make master board sheets of small scraps, I decided to try a larger piece of fabric.

Tuesday Tutorial
******************

I found a small piece of flannel.

Cut free handed strips about 5/8 inch wide x 7 inches or so long.
No precise measurement was done.

White cardboard was cut the size and shape I needed.
The pieces were laid on the back of the fabric
with the white side up as you see here.
Then a 2.5 stitching done around the edges.

Fold the strip in half to finger press the center.

 Place end of card
at the center mark of strip.

Fold over center of end of card.
Match ends of strip.
Stitch across folded end
on the card.
Yes, you see a back stitch
back across the card.
The double stitch holds the tie
stronger to the card.

 This new way for me
was a much easier way to
attach the ties
than looping through a hole.
