Our group worked on a mystery quilt.
Only the 3 people that put the baggies together
knew how it was to turn out.
After the 8 big blocks were made,
they started putting the "puzzle" together.
The main part of the quilt is the picture above.
This plus a blue border on the left and right
was the original pattern.
We had to add more borders
to meet the minimum
to make 8 HSTs at a time.
One of the members quickly put some of them together
to make the ribbon border
as seen above.
You'll see the completed quilt after it's quilted.
The name of this quilt is called "Patriotic Star".
A few members also still tried to finish the
paper pieced quilt
we started last fall
to dedicate to a member we lost
that had come to be known as
That one has become a big challenge.
