Recently recycled a pair of leather pants bought on the 400 mile yard sale last summer. Made a purse for my teenage Grand Daughter.
As I look back at my "Our 400 Mile Yard Sale Treasure" post, I see the pants cost 50¢.
The button from my collection that I created years ago before Goodwill days when you just used old clothes as rags for cleaning, etc. Before sending clothes to the rag bag, I cut out zippers and took off buttons. I'm still using those buttons and zippers.
So essentially the purse cost 50¢.
Took the label from the pants and stitched inside the purse for care instructions.

You are so resourceful! I wish I could sew, but I can't and I don't like it. Too old to learn now. :0)
ReplyDeleteVery environmental, I always like to see recycled stuff. I hate waste so I try to be good and recycle and reuse. This is interesting and inventive use I must say. http://dawnthecrafter.blogspot.co.uk/
