Earth Wonders Photo Challenge- FEATHERS or Fur

   One day the neighborhood doves decided to visit my deck.  Would you believe I was sitting on my couch across the room from the glass door, and took these pictures through the glass of the door.  The only thing I did to the pictures was split & crop them to get a closer view.

 These are doves that have been singing to us all winter.  You will always see these birds in pairs.

Wordless Wed #9 - Deadly Winds Bring Big March Snow

   Our March snow Monday morning gave us 5.35 inches which was over half of our total for the winter.  This after very warm winds caused deadly tornadoes all around us last Friday.  God bless those trying to recover.  That alone, is wordless.

Ruby's New Jumper

My nephew's daughter has inherited her Mommy's doll named Ruby. She does not let Ruby out of her site. 

 The clothes Ruby had on were taken apart to make a pattern.  To me, putting binding around the edge is hard to do correctly & neatly.  In this tutorial I show how I made facing patterns and used "flat" construction which has now been around for a while, but for some reason the pattern companies don't seem to have caught on.

Now, let's turn this into a dress for Ruby!
