I'm frustrated with patterns saying they are newborn sizes, so I'm trying to make my own pattern. I took a bodice pattern piece and tried to downsize it.
Instead of using my fabric stash, I practiced on a pair of short pants no one could wear anymore. I highlighted the stitched seams.
It still swallowed a 7 pound baby!
Still trying. When I succeed, I plan to share the pattern.

Misery loves company. Thanks Amy for feeling my pain. I hope you have luck finding that special size, or perhaps making your own.
ReplyDeleteCute dress! Great way to recycle an old pair of pants! Thanks for linking up at Submarine Sunday!

That's adorable. I love the look of the pant fabric {and color!} and the ribbon.

This is sweet though. Even if you think it is still too big. I like how you incorporated the flat feld? seams.
