Unit Rubric for Importance of Quilts During Civil War

Rubric (What it takes to earn a grade.)

A- Answers all assessment questions completely & correctly.

Designs a 12 ½ inch quilt block accurately.

Completes two 12 ½ inch cloth quilt block by machine or hand stitching.

B- Answer all assessment questions correctly with some more information needed.

Designs a 12 ½ inch quilt block within ¼ inch accuracy.

Completes two 12 ½ inch cloth quilt block by machine or hand stitching within ¼ inch accuracy.

C- Answer 80% of assessment questions correctly and completely.

Designs a 12 ½ inch quilt block that is within ½ inch accuracy.

Completes one 12 ½ inch cloth quilt block by machine or hand stitching within ¼ inch accuracy.

D- Answer 70% of assessment questions correctly and completely.

Designs a 12 ½ inch quilt block that is less than 12 inches.

Completes one cloth quilt block by machine or hand stitching that is less than 12 inches.

F- Answers 60% or less of assessment questions correctly and completely.

Does not completely design a 12 ½ inch quilt block.

Does not completes a cloth quilt block by machine or hand stitching.

Consideration for bonus work completed will be considered to improve grade.
