X Marks the Spot

Even though someone else in the house left the spot on the carpet, usually someone else has to treat it.  When the spot is treated, how does someone else in the house know it's a wet spot and not to step on it; whereby, then making the wet area a soiled spot again.

For Christmas one of my daughters cut up cloth and crocheted this BEAUTIFUL throw rug.

Dreary Can be Relaxing

      As many have done today, I've taken a moment to wonder what this year holds for me.  The first day of this new year is rainy & dreary but relaxing.  With retirement on the horizon in a few months, I'm hoping for relaxation with some adventure.  

      Meanwhile, I know I will always be the frugal, green person I've been all my life.  Re-purposing many things such as this fire pit grater and a piece from a water fountain.  I can't believe people pay for stuff that "looks" old to use to decorate their yard.
