March 14, 2011- Beginning Next Stage in Life

Met with Central Office Monday after school to fill out some necessary paper work. 

Photography+Computers+Sewing

Found a hobby that uses my camera, computer and sewing machine.  Love it.  

Problem: my sewing machine motor overheats. 

Tip to myself: print in reverse so the non-paper stitched side turns out like the original.

 

Took the picture summer before last.  Used Photoshop to change to lines and highlights, printed on paper, then did free motion stitching with my sewing machine with black thread on white fabric following lines on the paper.

Sweatshirt-Coming Back Together

Started this project last summer.  Bought sweat shirt couple of years ago, yarn @ dollar tree, and used scrap fabric I had and a friend gave me scrap fleece. 








Got the yarn sewn on it last summer, then came to a stand still on how to finish the neck and front.   Today, I decided to make a collar with the fleece and use some scrap fabric for a facing.

Now I have to figure out how to make the sleeves fit better.  Way too big. Thinking maybe darts?

REALLY Confused Poinsettia Hanging Around for Easter?

Remember I pointed out my Poinsettia had decided to bloom for Valentine's Day? Well, it's still blooming?  It looks like it might make it to Easter.  Wonder if I could get an Easter Lily to bloom at Christmas?
