Mon Memory 151~ Daughter's 2024 Birthday Card: Muddy Puddle Dog

For those of you that
follow my card making moments
for my family's birthdays
you know that the cards
 reflect on life events
of their previous year.
So here is my daughter's memory.
It is similar to her hubby's card this past Jan.
Because Louie came into their family.

My daughter has tremendous patience with him.
She has always absolutely without a doubt loved EVERY
dog no matter their tendencies.
When she posted this picture she wrote:

"Third time in 3 days. We covered his made mudhole with a lot of straw. He goes out to potty and even with supervision he is in it going to town. Crazy mess to even walk him to the tub."

Fact is, Louie is a true water dog.
I think he could live in it.
So her sister and I believe he is smart enough
to know how to get to take a bath
and be in warm water.

So naturally her card had to be about Louie in the mud puddle.

Started with butterfly, roses background.

Paused to start hand drawing with heat sensitive pen
to guide machine thread sketching.
I decided I had enough of the 60's vibe fabric for background.
Thank you Lenita for the donated fabric.
My daughter has seemed to have an appreciation for the 60's
She's a bell bottom pants kinda person.
The fabric gave me the feeling of
flowers fallen into the mud puddle?
So I made another drawing on the white scrap fabrics

I don't usually glue something inside,
but for this one I did.
The flower I fussy cut from fabric earlier.

An afternoon spent
making a birthday card of a memory
is always a well spent afternoon.

By the way
Very simple to make
She once had a dog that look similar
but not a white one last year.
I was just envisioning this dog of the past
 in the daffodil fields she
loves to visit every spring around her birthday.

Then only a couple of weeks ago
she posted this picture
of Louie down on her childhood farm
she still gets to visit.

 Can memories return?
