I looked out back the other day and what to my wondering eyes should appear?
Mr. Groundhog.
This neighborhood was once a farm some years ago.
We live across the creek from a farm.
No, I was not surprised to see Mr. Groundhog in my woods like backyard.
He was eating wild orchids.
I hoped he would let me enjoy the very few flowers I have left.
He left them alone.
When he saw me,
he took off to what I assume is his home.
We have had a resident groundhog living in the bank behind our building for two or three years now. Haven't seen him yet this year but I suspect he's still there. A couple people feed him so he's not going anywhere.
