Game Pieces

With the Checkers quilt block posted this past Saturday, there had to be some game pieces to play the game.  Making cloth game pieces provides light weight pieces easy to store with the quilt block.

  1. I have never seen an attachment like that for a sewing machine. Did it come with your machine? or was it an extra accessory you had to purchase separately.
Recently my quilt guild had a demo that showed a method of sewing even circles by taping a tack upside down an inch or away from your needle. Then you put your fabric in the sewing machine and push the fabric through the tack. This works very well with decorative stiches.

    1. Thank-you for your question. I bought the attachment separately. I have seen the circle sewing you are talking about on Sewing with Nancy where she also demonstrates a tool using your thumbtack idea that is on the market I haven't tried it. I only needed small game pieces and the largest setting on this attachment provided that size.
