Kindergarten Time Capsule

I went to a graduation celebration yesterday and got to witness a brilliant idea. A Kindergarten Time Capsule being opened by a high school graduate.

It was filled with crafts, artwork and written pieces done in Kindergarten.

A Pet Rock was in the capsule.
Also, some cards from his prized Pokemon collection were included.

The time capsule included a note from the teacher.
I know she will be thrilled to hear about this student opening his capsule.

As a former Kindergarten teacher, I know it took a lot of time to put this project together.
I think the time was well spent.
I know with the required curriculum that causes limited time, teachers today may not be able to help put together a Time Capsule. A parent, grandparent or caregiver might take on this activity at home?

  5. What a cool idea! I'm so bad about hanging onto keepsakes. Wish I would have done this. Maybe someday I'll have grand kids and do it for them.
