A card I made for my sweet friend's birthday.
She lives less than 3 miles from here,
but I mailed the card to her.
I think that makes it more of a surprise.
I mailed it on Sat so she would get it on her birthday Monday.
Somehow, it didn't get there until Wednesday!
Anyway,
unfortunately it's been 5 years since she lost her son prematurely.
The Cardinal has become her emblem in memory of him.
Many believe the Cardinal is a sign the loved one has come to visit.
I made this
for her a few Christmases ago.
I think I like this card the most of any you've shown us. Could be because I like cardinals!

ReplyDeleteThat was a sweet gesture for your friend's birthday and great that you could honor her son's memory along with it. I have always wanted to try making fabric card fronts and this reminds me to give it a try! Am going to check out the pillow post next!
