Fall 2018 Trip North Day 9, Part 1- Paw Paw to Lawton, Michigan

 Even though at this point we aren't driving along the coast of Lake Michigan,

we truly see that Michigan is the land of a thousand lakes.

 A drive by shot with some glare from my window.

 A grass with a white bloom I've never seen before.

At first it looks like morning dew or frost,

but this is a warm mid-afternoon shot.

 Lawton is reminiscent of some of the towns we saw out west.

Fall 2018 Trip North Day 8, Part 5- Muskegon to Paw Paw, Michigan

 HWY 31 will take you from North to South, Michigan to Mobile, Alabama.

Here it overlaps 196.  Once it gets to Indianapolis it follows I65 south.

 We ended Day 8 in Paw Paw Michigan at a Travel Lodge.

Fall 2018 Trip North Day 8, Part 4- Whitehall to Muskegon State Park, Michigan

 Loved how the sun light came through the trees 

as if just to light up the flag.

 A cabin replica was at the beginning of this large state park

 It was at least midday and Lake Michigan was foggy.

 Very foggy, but not at all on the highway.

 Beautiful white sand beach of Muskegon State Park.

 We took a break at the beach house and Mr. G took a picture of me.

 This was the week the second week after Labor Day.
